International MOMS Club®

The MOMS Club® was started in the Fall of 1983 by founder Mary James, an at-home mother in Simi Valley, California, who decided she was tired of being alone at home. She wanted to meet other at-home mothers and find other children for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come to the events with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start a brand new organization just for at-home mothers, and the MOMS Club was born. Word soon spread about the wonderful support that MOMS Club offers at-home mothers, and the organization became national in 1985.  As of September 2004, the MOMS Club had over 2000 chapters with 100,000 members in every state in North America, the Czech Republic; Canada; Ghana; Nigeria; Portugal; Sicily, Italy, with more chapters being created across the world everyday. 
 
MOMS Club in the Grapevine/Colleyville area

The MOMS Club of Grapevine began in 2000 by mom Lisa B.  Soon after registering, we also included the city of Colleyville, and our membership began to grow!  Shortly after our start, due to a move Lisa stepped down and Karen W took over as our fearless leader!  Thanks to Karen and her board's leadership, our chapter grew in size with the joining of new moms, as well as lots of new babies adding to the group!

In December 2003, the Grapevine/Colleyville chapter "sistered", or split into two smaller groups as our numbers has increased tremendously!  Lezleigh K started the sistered North chapter, while Suzi V continued leading the new South chapter.
